The New York Poor People's Campaign is hosting a press conference and moral action on Monday, July 26 near Senator Chuck Schumer's office, as part of a “Season of Nonviolent Direct Action,” a coordinated campaign of nonviolent moral actions aimed at abolishing the filibuster, protecting voting rights and establishing a $15 minimum wage.  Speakers in New York City will include Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, the national co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign, local faith and community leaders, as well as personal testimonials from directly impacted residents and more. We will gather in the park near Senator Schumer's office at 767 Third Avenue, entrance is on 48th Street just east of Third Avenue. We look forward to seeing you there!
