Community Build Days take place monthly, and are hosted by a local steward/community member in need of many hands to take on a big project. It's miraculous what we can accomplish when we come together, and Community Builds are working towards re-establishing this ancient way of community care and collective action.

For the October Community Build, we will be hosted by Oscar Garcia Cervantes, whose vision is to build a thriving vegetable garden that will inspire others in the Latino Community about the power and joy of healthy choices, and treating our bodies as the temples they are.

Join us for this hands-on session, where we’ll learn the basics of preparing raised garden beds. Wear clothes to get messy in, bring plenty of water and your work gloves (if you have a pair)!

If inclement weather is forecasted on the day of the Build, we will reach out via the email you sign up with to update you *the day before the event is scheduled*.

Los Días de Construcción Comunitaria tienen lugar mensualmente y son organizados por un administrador local/miembro de la comunidad que necesita muchas manos para llevar a cabo un gran proyecto. Es milagroso lo que podemos lograr cuando nos unimos, y las Construcciones Comunitarias trabajan para restablecer esta antigua forma de cuidado comunitario y acción colectiva.

Para el Community Build de octubre, seremos recibidos por Oscar Garcia Cervantes, cuya visión es construir un próspero huerto que inspire a otros en la comunidad latina sobre el poder y la alegría de las opciones saludables, y el tratamiento de nuestros cuerpos como los templos que son.

Acompáñanos en esta sesión práctica, en la que aprenderemos los fundamentos de la preparación de las camas elevadas del jardín. Ponte ropa para ensuciar, trae mucha agua y tus guantes de trabajo (si tienes un par).
