OFA Team '18 House Party
Start: Saturday, June 23, 2018• 8:00 PM
The stakes couldn’t be higher this year. We deserve elected officials who will represent their constituents instead of putting partisan politics ahead of the health, well-being, and economic security of the American people. Instead, Congress has enabled the White House’s damaging agenda—including their incessant efforts to sabotage Americans’ health care and their approval of a massive tax scam that put billionaires before working families. How can we fix it? By electing officials who will represent their constituents instead of putting partisan politics ahead of the health, well-being, and economic security of the American people. We can also insist that our districts are drawn more fairly, and work to end gerrymandering. Common sense solutions are possible when voters choose their representatives, instead of the other way around.
That’s why OFA is Organizing for ’18 this year—in districts and states across the country, we are working to harness grassroots power in the 2018 elections to hold members of Congress accountable for the votes they’ve taken in Washington. We are also engaging on the fight to end gerrymandering with former Attorney General Eric Holder’s redistricting effort through state-level elections and by supporting various ballot measures.
