It’s time to rally – in person – for good union jobs and strong climate action from Congress. Join us June 29th at noon in DC to demand passage of the “American Jobs Plan.” We’ll gather outdoors near the Capitol lawn at noon in support of the Biden Jobs Plan.

President Biden’s $2.3 trillion Plan would dramatically expand union households while rebuilding our economy with equity. But some in Congress are dragging their feet while calling for massive cuts to the President’s plan.

On June 29th at noon: Join the solidarity rally for union workers, climate action, and the “American Jobs Plan” on the national Mall. Hear music from the DC Labor Chorus and inspiring speakers from the AFL-CIO, Labor Network for Sustainability, UNITE HERE, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, One Fair Wage, CCAN Action Fund, and more.

We will also hear from Chairman Yarmuth (D-KY) who chairs the House Budget Committee, Chairman Scott (D-VA) who chairs the House Education and Labor Committee, and Congressman Morelle (D-NY) who serves on both the House Budget and Education and Labor committees.

Unions built the middle class in America and now they deserve our support. If we want to solve the chronic problems of wealth inequality and economic insecurity, we need to restore the power and breadth of our unions, including in the emerging green energy economy.

The “American Jobs Plan” calls for repairing our ailing roads and bridges and other infrastructure with union labor – creating millions of new, family-sustaining jobs. The plan explicitly calls for passage of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act – a bill prized by organized labor for decades. It calls for prevailing wages and worker protections in the emerging wind and solar industry.

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) Action Fund is the advocacy arm of the first grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting global warming in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and around the country.
