One World, One Family

Start: Saturday, May 17, 201410:30 AM

We are broadening our Day of Action to include all transgressions against our world - that an infringement on one part of it is an insult to all of us, and that we are indeed part of one world and one family.

We invite people and other organizations to join us on May 17 for a peaceful rally and march around the outside of the Capitol Square from 10:30 – 11 am. Please bring signs with One World, One Family and stating what injustice or cause your organization is working on that is disruptive to our well being and future. We will have pins and banners for Sierra Club members.

Following the rally, we'll gather at the Brittingham Park shelter at 11:30 am to celebrate our past accomplishments and talk about how each organization’s efforts contribute to One World, One Family. Organizations are welcome to bring information and petitions. This will be followed by a picnic potluck and hopefully singing led by the Solidarity Sing Along as we join our voices together in hope for the future. People are welcome to bring their own instruments.

We're all in this together, so join us as we raise our voices in unison for a future that moves us beyond fossil fuels and other practices destructive to our planet and the people on it.
