We knew the contamination was in the ground.

NOW we know it is in the LUS water system.

Contamination has been detected in some of our LUS water wells. These wells provide drinking water for much of Lafayette Parish. These relatively deep wells draw water from locations in the vicinity of the abandoned rail yard downtown. Our wells must pump millions of gallons per day out of the ground. What does this contamination mean? How could the I-49 Connector project cause further contamination of our drinking water? How can our liability as taxpayers be effected?

Let's talk about it! Join us Thursday evening, January 19, 2017 at 6:30 in the downtown Main Library Meeting Room. Space is limited, so please arrive on time. RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
