This is a virtual event
The NTC is excited to release OpenSlides for general availability across DSA! To celebrate, we want to host a social event with all of DSA on OpenSlides itself! Want to learn how you can use it to run your chapter meetings more easily? Want some practice using the platform with fun, interactive resolutions? Want to learn alongside comrades from across DSA in a low-pressure environment?
Join the NTC for Mock Chapter, where we'll run through a totally fake "chapter" meeting on OpenSlides. We'll make sure you're familiar with both running and using the platform, and you'll help us get user feedback on how we can best configure and document OpenSlides to be as member-friendly as possible. Our goal is for everyone in attendance to feel confident bringing OpenSlides back to their chapters and committees for consideration.
We need your help setting the agenda!
We will be providing the infrastructure for this event, but we would like you, the members, to flex your creativity and help us shape the content! Submit your ideas for procedural rules and agenda items in this Discussion Board thread! Here are our general guidelines to get the juices flowing:
- Keep it light - there are many other times and places for serious debate -- and we hope OpenSlides will facilitate many! For this event, we want to stick to trivial topics so that everyone feels comfortable participating.
- Be creative - The NTC Steering Committee will have the final say on the agenda, but by default, anything within Robert's Rules of Order is fair game (within reason, including time constraints). Find those procedural loopholes!
We'll start off the brainstorming with a hypothetical agenda item in line with our goals for this event:
Resolution 1:
[blank]-style pizza is the best style pizza in the US.
