November 9 marks over two months since Trump ended DACA, and one year since he was elected as president. DACA provided a pathway for undocumented immigrant youth to achieve their dreams - providing them work permits and protection from deportation. Now their entire lives are now on the line.  

If you’re outraged at Trump for killing DACA, for deporting thousands of immigrants, and for fulfilling a sick white supremacist scheme to terrorize immigrant youth and their families, we invite you to join us on November 9th and help us demand Congress act now. By showing up together, we will ensure that Congress can no longer ignore our community and take action to protect immigrants.

The 2017 Congressional session ends on December 15th. That gives us a little over a month to pass a clean Dream Act in the House and in the Senate. Immigrant youth can’t afford to wait any longer. Each day that passes means more and more immigrant youth losing their DACA protections, and having livelihood threatened while they become prey for Trump’s mass deportation agents.

THE DETAILS:

Young immigrants and allies across the DMV area (and nation!) will be leading school walkouts and mobilizing thousands to Capitol Hill to demand that Congress pass a clean Dream Act by December.

We'll meet these young leaders from the surrounding DC area at Columbus Circle (in front of Union Station) and later on break out into smaller groups to march into the Capitol offices of members of Congress.

A team of awesome volunteers have setup this page where you can offer up a ride to other attendees, request a ride or even share a taxi.

WHAT IS A **CLEAN** DREAM ACT?

We need a permanent solution for our undocumented young people, but we will also not allow anti-immigrant extremists and their accomplices to use undocumented young people as bargaining chips for draconian measures to fulfill the Trump administration’s white supremacy wish list. A clean DREAM Act means Congress must swiftly pass this widely popular bipartisan bill without any additions or amendments that will put our families and the rest of our immigrant community at greater risk for undue detention and deportation. That’s why we’re fighting for a clean DREAM Act.
