HJC’s Emergency Tenant Organizing Committee (ETOC) is hosting a panel with DSA members from East Bay, San Diego, and Connecticut who unionized their buildings, negotiated with their landlord, and leveraged the possibility of a rent strike. We’ll hear about the practical organizing strategies to bring tenants into a tenants union and encourage collective action. We will also discuss ideas of how DSA chapters and autonomous tenant unions can support these efforts.
