#OutragedAndUnafraid: UndocuYouth Gathering

Start: Friday, September 22, 2017 6:00 PM

End: Sunday, September 24, 2017 4:00 PM

Five years ago, we won DACA by taking direct action— we marched, we organized, we came out of the shadows. We made it impossible for the American public and politicians to ignore our voices. Since then, DACA has provided temporary protection for hundreds of thousands of undocumented youth. It was a major victory for the immigrant rights movement— a victory that is now under threat.

That's why we are calling on undocumented youth from all over the country to gather in San Antonio, Texas on September 22nd-24th. It will be a full weekend of building trust, community, and power within the undocumented community as we map out how we are going to fight the attacks on us, our parents, and our community.

We know that this fight isn't just for us-- this is the fight to win permanent protection, dignity, and respect for all 11 million undocumented. Just as our parents contribute to the economy as workers, so have we as we've taken on careers, bought homes, and invested in this country because of the opportunities that DACA has given 800,000 of us.

Together, we will choose the direction of the immigrant rights movement to include all 11 million immigrants who need permanent protection. The 11 million that includes us, our parents, our families. Now is our time to fight, together.
