Pandemic Touring Fund Press Conference & Rally

Touring musicians were repeatedly left out of relief efforts over the past two years. When PUA dried up, many were forced to go back on the road into uncertain working conditions. These tours were riddled with cancellations forcing music workers to pick up the costs, not only of lost wages, but of travel, lodging and the day to day expenses of touring. MWA's lost wages survey has shown over $1.2M in lost wages and over $80K in unrecoupable costs associated with touring during the pandemic, this was from just 41 respondents!

Elected officials are starting to listen, but we need them all to hear us. Through our efforts, there has been a request for $8M be set aside to establish a fund to help music workers recoup costs lost from touring during the pandemic. In order for this to make it into the budget we need everyone to join us in contacting their elected officials today!
