Join us at Gaetano's Restaurant on Wednesday, July 17th at 6 PM to ask Joe Biden to pass the torch and step aside from the Democratic nomination. There will be a meeting of the Connecticut Democratic State Central Committee and they need to hear what you think. Now, more than ever, we need the strongest candidate possible in order to win in November. The DNC is trying to rush through the nomination vote of Biden, scheduling it for July 29th instead of waiting for the August 19th convention for no reason except trying to quiet dissent. We are asking them #DontRushLosing.

• Show the party leaders that there is a strong majority of people who want Biden to #PassTheTorch. Two thirds of Democrats do not think Biden should be running for president including the majority of Democrats.

• Stand up and be counted. Biden's campaign is saying only the elites are trying to stop him from running. It's not true, and we need your help to prove it!

Democratic Party leaders need to hear us and see us! Here’s what we need from you: how to add your voice:

1. Mark your calendar: for tonight, Wednesday, at 6pm

2. Make a #PassTheTorch or #DontRushLosing homemade sign (or t-shirt)!

3. Stand up and speak up! Take a selfie photo and a group photo, share the group photo with everyone, and share on social media with the hashtag #PasstheTorchJoe. Please also share ways to take action with your friends (https://www.passthetorchbiden.com/). We need tons of calls and petitions done asap! This is the most impactful way to show the size of this movement right now.

This is a peaceful, respectful event. Please do not use this as an opportunity to protest other causes. The Pass the Torch movement is focused solely on the goal of Joe Biden withdrawing from the Presidential nomination. We are working to unite the majority of Democrats who agree this is the best and only way to preserve Joe Biden's legacy and prevent another Trump Presidency.  

The organization for this event is being led by Pass the Torch.  Pass the Torch is a newly formed network of activists, organizers, and voters committed to the belief that nothing matters as much as making sure Democrats have a ticket that can beat Donald Trump.  In just the past few days since we’ve launched, we’ve organized over 20,000 actions, including petition signatures, emails, and over 4,000 calls to members of Congress.
