Brandon Lemay joins us on 19 December to help us kick off the week including the National Homeless Persons Memorial Day (annually on 21 December) for a conversation on how to relieve homelessness. Long concerned with matters of social justice, Brandon is currently RAD's Statewide Campaigns Organizer for Housing Justice. You may be familiar with news headlines about "clearing" parks and homeless encampments. Come participate in a discussion about what is happening behind the scenes ("what's the difference between homeless, houseless, and unsheltered?") and what local communities like yours can do to support those with housing needs. The Mutual Aid Relief Fund is just the beginning!

Brandon Lemay was born and raised on the West Side of Manchester. As the descendant of three generations of union laborers, his social and political views have been deeply influenced by the labor movement. While studying Political Science and French at Plymouth State University, Lemay was introduced to organizing by working on the 2014 Coordinated campaign. Since that time, he’s worked for NextGen, League of Conservation Voters, American Bridge, Joyce Craig for Mayor, and Andrew Yang for NH. He is excited to be organizing in his hometown and is glad that Rights & Democracy is making a long term commitment to community organizing in the Manchester and Nashua Greater Area.

This Peace & Justice Conversation is cosponsored by Rights and Democracy.

About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future.  There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.
