Sarah Freeman-Woolpert from the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL), will talk about FCNL’s work to organize across the country, including new initiatives to engage diaspora communities, college students, and faith leaders in a growing grassroots movement for peace in U.S. foreign policy. Sarah will also provide an update on FCNL’s leadership calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war and share opportunities to get involved.

New Hampshire has an active FCNL Advocacy Team that many NH Peace Action members belong to. Working together increases our power to make change!

Sarah Freeman-Woolpert grew up in Pembroke, NH and now works as the Deputy Director of Strategic Advocacy at the Friends Committee on National Legislation, the largest peace lobby in Washington, D.C. She leads a national network of 138 Advocacy Teams in 47 states. The Advocacy Teams are comprised of peace advocates who work to advance federal policies to promote peace, diplomacy, and demilitarization around the world.
