A link to attend this virtual event will be emailed upon RSVP

For this Peace & Justice Conversation, join in a discussion of The Dignity Model. Rather than a speaker, this will be a facilitated dialogue where all can share, reflect, and listen. This program will not
be recorded so people can feel more comfortable expressing their thoughts.

The Dignity Model was created by Donna Hicks, a conflict-resolution researcher, professor and international advisor who has facilitated dialogues between communities in conflict for more than three decades. After witnessing seemingly intractable conflicts play out across the globe, Hicks realized that experiences of dignity and indignity were at the heart of many disputes and dysfunctional organizational cultures. Drawing on her experience and on insights from evolutionary biology, psychology, and neuroscience, Dr. Hicks looks at the elements of dignity and dignity violations and shows how choosing dignity as a way of life opens the way to greater peace within ourselves and to a safer and more
humane world for all.

We will watch a video of Donna Hicks discussing her work (20 minutes) then Sandra and Amy will lead us in a discussion. If you want to watch the video on your own ahead of time you can do that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPF7QspiLqM . This is not required as we will see it that night as well.

Facilitated by long-time peace activists and NH Peace Action board members Sandra Yarne and Amy Antonucci.

About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future.  There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.
