People are working together everywhere so that we get an ecology and climate fit for us all to live in. We want to have water, clean air, livable temperatures, and food.

This training is for people interested in Extinction Rebellion, climate justice, or stopping fossil fuel extraction. All levels of experience welcome.

The facilitator will be Nicola Paris from CounterAct. She has trained 1000s of activists across the country over the last decade and has played a leading role in the largest civil disobedience events and campaigns across the country. From the protect of James Price Point (Walmadan) and the Beeliar wetlands on the West coast, to the Maules Creek Coal mine blockade, working with Pacific Warriors in their blockade of Newcastle port, and the Break Free event, also in Newcastle, involving 2000 participants, as well as numerous peaceful protests at Parliament and many other cities around the country.

The training will include topics like:
+ How to plan a successful action
+ Examples of great peaceful protests from Australia
+ How to maintain nonviolent behaviour under pressure
+ Legal information related to arrests and protesting
+ much more!
