People for the Common Good Presents: Our Promise
Start: Saturday, January 21, 2017• 3:00 PM
As winter descends, it is easy to retreat to the comfort of our own insulated lives, but we must resist this temptation. Now is the time to come together and stand united for diversity, for the wellbeing of our community, and for love. As Elie Wiesel said, “The opposite of love is not hate – it’s indifference.”
Please join us at the Allen County Courthouse on Saturday, January 21, 2017, for “Our Promise”. This rally is the inaugural event of People for the Common Good (PCG). PCG is a nonpartisan coalition of diverse individuals, groups, and organizations, united in our commitment to advocate for and protect the inherent and inalienable rights of every person to enjoy safety, dignity, social and political liberties, and educational and economic opportunities. In all our actions, we remain dedicated to peace and non-violence. We encourage anyone with whom our mission resonates to join us for this powerful event.
Please note: the rally will begin at 3 p.m. At approximately 4 p.m., attendees will migrate to the Allen County Public Library for an informational fair, where many groups and organizations that support and advocate for potentially marginalized people and causes will share their great work and tell you how you can help.
