People -Powered Town Hall

Start: Tuesday, November 15, 2022 7:00 PM

End: Tuesday, November 15, 2022 8:30 PM

This past summer, the climate crisis drove record-breaking temperatures and other extreme weather events worldwide. To avoid the worst impacts of the crisis, we must end our dependency on fossil fuels.

CPS Energy will soon decide the fate of the polluting Spruce Coal Plant and much of the utility’s power supply.

Join our People-Powered Town Hall this November. From power supply to climate change, utility debt and rate structures, this is an opportunity for community members to ask thoughtful questions and give feedback to CPS Energy's CEO Rudy Garza, who will make his second appearance as a town hall panelist alongside community advocates and organizers.

Community members have been asking CPS Energy for years for the opportunity to weigh in on these decisions that will determine if we will have a sustainable city in which to live.

This is a great opportunity for the public to participate in this process. Don't let CPS Energy decide the fate of our future without your input. The town hall kicks-off November 15 at 7 p.m..

This is an interactive town hall. From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CPS Energy representatives will be on site to give information on their Sustainable for Tomorrow Energy Plan, also known as STEP, along with customer assistance programs.

The town hall, hosted by Climate Justice San Antonio will allow concerned residential ratepayers to engage CPS Energy leadership and other panelists on issues that affect air and water quality and what they pay to power their homes.

We hope to see you there!
