People's Climate March - Long Island

Start: Saturday, April 29, 201710:00 AM

Donald Trump is a threat to the future of our planet, the safety of our communities, and the health of our families.

The new administration has attacked the hard-won protections of our climate, health, and communities, and the rights of people of color, workers, indigenous people, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA, young people, and more.

On Long Island, we've been hit hard by Hurricane Sandy and we continue to be imperiled by the rising seas, but we're already fighting back. We're at the forefront of New York's clean energy economy, with our abundant offshore wind resources; we're also coming together to enact our vision for a renewable future.

Join us on April 29th at 10AM at the Long Beach Boardwalk at National Blvd, just blocks from the LIRR station. Let's march together.

From our rallying point, we will march  to the Eastern end of the boardwalk. There, we will have closing remarks and an action people can take right away.
