People's Climate Mobilization - Sacramento

Start: Saturday, April 29, 201711:00 AM

End: Saturday, April 29, 2017 1:30 PM

Donald Trump is a threat to the future of our planet, the safety of our communities, and the health of our families.

The new administration has attacked the hard-won protections of our climate, health, and communities, and the rights of people of color, workers, indigenous people, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA, young people, and more.

We've fought back with a wave of protests larger than at almost any other point in history — let's make sure that we mark the 100th day of his presidency with another mass action that stands up for our communities.

Join us on April 29th at 11 am at the East Steps of the Capitol Building. The East Side of the Capitol is roughly in line with 12th Street, and can b e reached by sidewalk from either L or N Street.

We'll have a rally for the climate with music, speakers, information tables, kids and art activities.  There is plenty of grass to sit on during the rally, so feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket if you'd rather not stand the entire time!

We'll begin our March at 1:30 pm and surround the Capitol with our demands. Bring a megaphone if you have one, We'll have fun and when we've encircled the Capitol, we'll recite a climate change resistance pledge together. You don't' want to miss this part!

Join us and together we'll raise our voices for the issue that affects us all: the need to break our addiction to fossil fuels,
