Peterborough Citizens Delegates Assembly

Start: Tuesday, February 21, 2023 5:30 PM

End: Tuesday, February 21, 2023 7:00 PM

Over the last 2 years Peterborough Citizens has been building People Power. We believe that everyday people can make change. However, we need to build a network connecting us all to a common goal so, we, the people, can take part in the decisions being made in the City and at times, even nationally! We use a method called 'Community Organising.' Many great leaders were trained in this methodology, including Emmline Pankhurst and Barak Obama.

On 1st November 2022, 430 Peterborough Citizens came together to launch a mass listening. 19 institutions agreed to listen to 10 000 Peterborough Citizens, so we can;

1) Hear the issues the Citizens of Peteborough are facing

2) Identify leaders (everyday people like you and me) to lead on these issues/campaigns

3) Work with 19 institutions to win campaigns through the training of Community Organising.

On 21st February at Nene Park Academy- Join all our member institutions to hear the results of our listening campaign. Find out what the biggest issues facing our community are, hear testimonies, and vote to choose which of these issues we will build our next round of campaigns around.

And most importantly, find out how you can become involved in creating change in your community.

Agenda to follow (you will need to opt into emails to recieve these).
