Sallie Mae is the largest holder of student debt in the United States. They also profit off of the debt of students, with their CEO Albert Lord earning over $53 million in the past five years. Student loan debt is the largest amount of debt owned in the country. It is also the only type of debt that cannot be refinanced. Wells Fargo is the second largest holder of student debt and their investment includes private prison company GEO Group. We don't want these human rights violators to be recommended to anyone. We must take action to demand accountability from the corporations who are devastating the lives of homeowners, students, workers, our communities, and our planet.
