DSA-LA is now considering three candidates for the chapter’s Phase 1 endorsement in the 2024 primary election: Ysabel Jurado for Los Angeles City Council District 14, Nithya Raman for Los Angeles City Council District 4, and Jillian Burgos for Los Angeles City Council District 2.

The Electoral Endorsement Forum will begin with introductions from and open Q&A with the candidates. Following the Q&A, we will take a short break before transitioning to a closed deliberation session of the DSA-LA Membership. In the closed session, the Electoral Committee will present summary briefings on the races and districts, make a recommendation on endorsement, and DSA-LA members in good standing will debate reasons for or against supporting these candidates. All members will receive a ballot for consideration following the forum.
