Washington state needs more democratic socialists in the State Legislaturre who will fight for our right to healthcare, housing and an equitable economy and society.  Join the Olympia Democratic Socialists of America for a virtual barnstorm with candidates Mary Ellen Biggerstaff (LD 22) and Marianna Everson (LD19) as we begin the final weeks before the August 4th primary.

At the Barnstorm, you will hear from the candidates, get trained on how to phonebank (and do some phonebanking too), and learn how you can get plugged into the campaigns. We hope you'll continue to volunteer with either campaign until the primaries on August 4th!

Through these two campaigns we are talking to people about widely-felt issues including lack of healthcare, lack of affordable housing, and economic inequality; and sharing our democratic socialist vision for a better WA and a better world! Please join us in the work to elect two democratic socialist nurses to the Washington State House of Representatives.

In the time of Covid-19, the need for legislators who understand both healthcare and needs of workers in general has never been more urgent. That's why we need Mary Ellen Biggerstaff, a practicing nurse, representing North Thurston County (LD 22, position 2) in the Washington State House of Representatives. She will fight for universal healthcare for all Washingtonians, as well as a Green New Deal, affordable housing, worker's rights, equitable taxation, and environmental justice.
