Our chapter was successful in electing several of our members to public office, whether it be Hugo Soto-Martinez and Eunisses Hernandez in LA City Council or Rocio Rivas to the LAUSD School Board. What opportunities do these electoral wins mean for our socialist movement? How do we keep elected socialists accountable to our priorities and the broader socialist project? And what role do socialists have with our elected members to enact working class politics?

Join the Political Education Committee for our January Meeting, where we will be kicking off the year discussing the above ideas and thinking through what programming we'd like to create for 2023. Whether you are a regular member or someone who has just joined, we encourage you to join us and be part of integrating political education into our collective work.
