Scottish Climate Justice Gathering: Post-COP, Now What?

Start: Saturday, December 04, 202111:00 AM

End: Saturday, December 04, 202111:00 PM

The action and engagement during COP26 is likely to be the largest mobilisation on climate justice that Scotland has ever seen. Groups and individuals from across movements are working together to make our voices heard. After COP26, it’s important that we come together to reflect and to work out how to go forward.

Join us on the 4th of December in Glasgow to decompress, celebrate and build connections within the Scottish climate justice movement. Whether COP26 was your first taste of activism, or you’ve been mobilising for decades, we’ll have a space for you to meet like-minded people, and have an input into the future of our movement.

The day’s programme has been designed to have a focus on recuperating and looking back at the activities during COP26. We’ll celebrate the wins, share delicious food, listen to great music and performances, and have an optional open space for debrief and discussion.

On the 22nd of January, we’ll come together again to build on the momentum of COP26 to organise for climate justice.

We'll only be using the ground floor for our event, which is fully wheelchair accessible. Please refer to the Civic House FAQs for information on accessibility. You can also email olga@tripodtraining.org with any specific questions. We can make BSL interpretation available when requested in the sign up form.

We’d love to welcome folks from outside the Central Belt. We have a travel budget for those who need extra support and can arrange accommodation in Glasgow for those coming from further afield. Please let us know through the sign up form.

The event is entirely free but if you feel able, or you are attending on behalf of a large organisation, we encourage you to contribute to the travel fund to help cover the cost of attendance for those travelling from further afield.
