Power Knowledge Exchange Conference - Organising in a HEI Context

Start: Wednesday, January 18, 2023 9:45 AM

End: Wednesday, January 18, 2023 4:00 PM

Knowledge exchange is important for the mission of universities. Through the lens of community organising, we see that universities also have power that they can share with and receive from community partners. Through the building of collective institutional power in places, we can win change that we're unable to achieve by ourselves. Citizens UK's Power/Knowledge Exchange project sees universities as important to this mission.

As the number of HEI leaders, academics, professional staff and students involved in broad-based community organising increases, we're hosting a one-day conference to celebrate and connect with each other.

Through building a community practice of organising in the HEI sector, we hope to make our work more impactful in policy and innovation that is felt in the lives of our communities.
