Power of Hope Women’s Rally!
Start: Saturday, January 20, 2018•10:00 AM
On January 21, 2017 women from around Linn County traveled to participate in Women’s Marches across the state and across the country. They came home ready to step up and make a difference. And step up they have. Whether in their individual communities, at the state level or even on the national level, Linn County women have risen to the challenge.
This year, on January 20, 2018, we will rally together in Albany to reaffirm the commitments we made last year as we marched not only in resistance but with a passion to engage and empower us all to step up to build community and to support women’s rights, human rights and social, civil and environmental justice. It has been a challenging year on all those fronts, and others. We will meet together to celebrate the incredible work we’ve done and to look to the future, particularly toward the 2018 elections. So whether you’ve marched before, or this is your very first rally, come together with women from across the county as we remind ourselves of the Power of Hope and challenge ourselves to work to engage and empower all people who work for a better, more equitable and more just world.
Please join the Rural Oregon Progressives, the Albany Region Indivisible and other area groups as we rally together at 10 a.m. on the courthouse stairs. Rain or shine! Pink hats encouraged! Everyone welcome!
