The Little Mermaid is an iconic story that crosses generations and cultures, and the release of the live action remake is a prime moment to think about what Ariel's life would be like if she lived in the real world. Ariel’s home (the ocean and all the connecting waterways) is in danger because of the climate crisis. Disney fans are teaming up – inspired by the importance of water in tons of Disney stories and the upcoming release of the live action The Little Mermaid movie – to take direct action to protect clean water access for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous People of Color) communities across the United States. We know climate change is a part of our world, but the good news is that we can do something about it together!
