Dr. Tom has made eight presentations at the White House, and at over 100 universities. He has managed environmental programs for the Presbyterian Church, and the governments of the United States, Sweden and Russia.

He is co-editor of - Witness for the Earth: Coalescing the Religious Environmental Movement. He founded five environmental organizations, and is on the Boards of the of the UN Association of San Diego, and the World Stewardship Institute. He received awards from

 -The Patriarch Bartholomew, the leader of 300 million Orthodox Christians

 -The National Religious Coalition on Creation Care, and

 -The Presbyterian Association on Science, Technology and the Christian Faith
