PSR Progressive Feminists Working Retreat: Integrative Voter Engagement 2018

Start: Saturday, October 28, 201711:00 AM

End: Saturday, October 28, 2017 5:00 PM

For the anniversary of the Women's March, we will be organizing an enormous integrative voter engagement effort in Texas driven by progressive feminist leaders. Do you have a group to mobilize? Bring it, 2018.

Battleground Texas San Antonio, Voto Latino, and MOVE San Antonio will bring their insights. Annie's List, Texas Organizing Project, ROAD Women, National Organization of Women, Battleground Texas Houston, Swing Left, and Mi Familia Vota have helped shape the agenda. We invite progressive feminist leaders from these and many other established and emerging groups. The agenda will include scalable organizing methods for deputy voter registrars and high yield voter registration, learning the hard and soft skills to facilitate ongoing engagement of voters (newly registered or low propensity), and creating an accountability structure for changing the face of leadership in Texas.

Women's March of San Antonio and Annie's List have generously helped to underwrite some of the costs of the event. Annie's List will co-sponsor our next quarterly working retreat, tentatively Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Austin, TX.
