Let’s flood the County Council meeting with our outrage.

Daily articles in the Plain Dealer underscore the need for holding the Council’s feet to the fire.

We have not seen them take full responsibility for the horrendous conditions at the jail, the most egregious of which persist today.  At the Community Hearing last night recently-released people testified to continued red-zoning necessitating sleeping on the floor, new trays mixed in with old smelly ones, etc.  “It takes time” to ensure the safety and humane treatment of inmates will not suffice.

We will meet outside the County Administration Building on the corner of E. 9th and Prospect Ave. for a Press Conference.

After the press conference at 4:30 pm, we will go up to the meeting to demand more urgent change and regular progress reports.
