Put the Shovels in the Ground: a Rally for the Original Red Line

Join the Baltimore Transit Equity Coalition for a rally in support of the original Red Line light rail.
Feel free to bring a marching sign representing your organization or with a message to lawmakers and the MTA to build the Red Line light rail!
Timeline of Events:
12:00-12:10pm - Arrival in Mckeldin Square.
12:10pm - Opening Remarks by BTEC President Samuel Jordan
12:20-1:00 - The March will start and end at Mckeldin Square, through Light/St. Paul, W. Fayette, Charles and Pratt Streets. Please see the map of the march route below. We will pass the MTA building on our route and will make sure they hear that we want a Red Line Light Rail!
1:00-1:45 - Guest Speakers
1:45-2:00 - Closing Remarks from BTEC President Samuel Jordan and main programming ends. Light lunch will be served.

March Route:
March and Rally locations have been plotted with consideration for attendees in wheelchairs. Recent construction and obstructions may be beyond our ability to circumvent.
