Racial Justice Workshop - Being Responsible To Our Community

Start: Sunday, December 10, 2017 1:00 PM

End: Sunday, December 10, 2017 6:00 PM

Americans define racism as individual, overt and intentional. But modern forms of racial discrimination are often unintentional, systemic and hidden. Racism operates along with other systems of oppression including class exploitation, sexism, homophobia, and many others. Politicians, employers and public administrators have all learned to use codes for the groups they target.

During our Racial Justice Workshop, we will discuss the different levels of racism, anti-racism, diversity/cultural competency and how to become better role models and agents for change.
Dinner and childcare will be provided.
