Ragtag Phishing Training

Start: Sunday, January 20, 2019 3:00 PM

End: Sunday, January 20, 2019 4:00 PM

Join Activist Afternoons and Ragtag for a half-hour training on protecting yourself and your organization from phishing. We’ll talk about the signs of a phishing attempt, what to do if you receive a suspicious email, and preventative measures that can thwart a phishing attack.

Ragtag is building a movement of technologists to amplify progressive organizing in innovative and high-impact ways. We are leveraging the expertise of our community to help campaigns and activists level-up their digital security practices through hands-on trainings. Our trainings go beyond simply handing out a security checklist, and instead help participants understand both why the security steps are important, and how to actually implement them in their own lives and work. Digital security trainings are just one of the resources that Ragtag offers. For more information, visit https://ragtag.org/

Activist Afternoons is a way for all members of the community to gather and take action on the issues and elections we care about. Every Sunday at 4pm, volunteers and organizations in our community come together to affect real, positive change on all levels and all kinds of issues.

Activist Afternoons holds regular meetings every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at Workbar Central Square, 45 Prospect Street in Cambridge.
