Join us on Saturday, Jan. 21, in Columbia for a people’s rally and strategy summit, and show your support for the Women’s March on Washington – happening in DC and cities around the globe.

This is more than a rally; it is a call to action. It is more important than ever that progressives unite, collaborate, and map a way forward – together.

The rally and summit will give SC activists a platform to talk about their work, and engage new members. It will also offer the progressive community a chance to discuss what the new political reality means for us in South Carolina.

The day’s events will be peaceful, nonpartisan, child-friendly and fully accessible. A Democracy Fair will offer games, face painting, and tables where participating organizations will share information and answer questions.

• STRATEGY SUMMIT •

After the rally, we will move a half-block away to the Music Farm for lunch ($10) and a strategy session. Members of the SC Progressive Legislative Caucus and the SC Progressive Network will facilitate a conversation with the state’s leading social and political activists.

The day will conclude with issue caucuses, where participants can network and plan next steps. Groups include: Women, LGBT, Youth, Racial Justice, Voting Rights, Environment, Faith Community, Immigration, and Workers’ Rights.
