This Tuesday afternoon, the Act On Climate bill — which commits our state to a rapid, but doable, phaseout of all our greenhouse gas pollution — is up for a vote by the full House of Representatives!

The bill has already passed the State Senate by a veto-proof majority. If the House passes it by a similar margin, Act On Climate will become law. Let's rally in green T-shirts to show our Reps: we care about the climate crisis and we demand this foundational law.

Guidelines:

1. The pandemic isn't over. Wear a mask (even if you've been vaccinated) and socially distance. We have room to spread out along the sidewalk on Francis Street.
2. Wear a green T-shirt! It's forecast to be a nice afternoon. ACT ON CLIMATE T-Shirts will be for sale at the event! (Suggested donation is $15 for one, or $25 for two.) If you've pre-ordered your shirt, you can pick it up there.
3. Free parking might be available in the State Employees lots north of Smith St. If not, metered parking is available on Francis St. and Park St.

Climate advocates rarely get an opportunity to celebrate a big victory. This is one of those opportunities. Join us on Francis St.!
