Inequality is soaring, the climate is collapsing, and public services are at breaking point. We need huge public investment to tackle these problems – but we’re told again and again that there’s not enough money. Instead, the government has cut spending on aid, climate action and public services.

But while we struggle, the super-rich are thriving at our expense. Their wealth is soaring and their power is undermining democracy.

That's why, in the Spring Statement, we need Chancellor Rachel Reeves to tax the rich and invest in the rest of us.
