Join us for Learning Thursdays, a free weekly online learning opportunity for Citizens UK leaders and member institutions.

A fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to help transform the lives of refugee families and dismantle the hostile environment.

With new legislation threatening to make it harder for people fleeing persecution to seek sanctuary in the UK, this training will equip everyone who seeks to make refugees welcome, whether as community sponsors or through refugee resettlement, supporters of those seeking asylum, or the undocumented, to understand the current threats and opportunities facing refugees and migrants.

We’ll help you to have persuasive conversations with people in your community, influential decision-makers and journalists, that break the hostile narratives that are often so dominant in our media. We will also help to identify how you could help turn the tide of political opinion by equipping you to engage your local council leader and MP face-to-face (or at least on Zoom).
