Regenerative Culture: Dealing With Difficult Earth Emotions

Start: Sunday, January 19, 202010:00 AM

End: Sunday, January 19, 2020 1:00 PM

Feeling overwhelmed by the bush fires?

Need somewhere to debrief?

The Sydney Extinction Rebellion (XR) community feels deeply about the state of the world. We’re deeply sorry for the loss of life, and for those directly and indirectly affected by the fires. Our hearts hurt for the beautiful, unique, wildlife, fauna, flora and Country caught by the fires.

And after months of unprecedented bushfires, it’s completely normal to feel ‘ecological grief’, ‘eco-anxiety’ or ‘terrafurie’ (anger).

Together with a trained psychotherapist, we’ll share some current psychology around the climate crisis, and offer invaluable self-care support, burn-out prevention, and connections through social movements.

Earth Emotions include:

·     Eco-anxiety

·     Ecological grief

·     Eco-paralysis

·     Global dread

·     Nature Deficit Disorder

·     Solastalgia

·     Tierra-trauma

·     Terrafurie

Everyone’s welcome – and there’ll be time to ask questions and explore resources and local support available to you.

Cash donations at the door are welcome.
