Renewable Energy not False Solutions

Co-hosted by Mothers Out Front, Colorado People's Alliance, Empower Our Future, Third Act Colorado, Nuclear Free Colorado, GreenLatinos, 350 Colorado, Colorado Sierra Club, and more partners. We will deliver letters to Xcel Energy and Black Hills Energy demanding a fast, fair transition to renewable energy without using false solutions like nuclear and burning fossil gas with carbon capture/storage. After letter delivery, we will walk (or drive in provided car pools) to the Lake Elizabeth Pavillion (ETA 12:30 pm) for a celebration of community solidarity with dance, music, and speakers. Join us to work together toward energy and climate justice.
The final destination for the community solidarity celebration (Lake Elizabeth Pavillion) is wheelchair accessible. ETA at final destination is 12:45 for those who wish to join only for this portion. Xcel and Black Hills Energy portion of the event will be largely outdoors on the pavement outside the building, and car transportation will be provided as needed between Xcel, Black Hills Energy, and the Pavillion.
