Reproductive Rights, Health, and Justice & the 2020 Landscape

Start: Tuesday, January 14, 2020 6:00 PM

End: Tuesday, January 14, 2020 8:00 PM

Since day one of this administration reproductive health, rights and justice have been under attack and in just two short months, the United States Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case that could further accelerate the rapid decline in access to reproductive health care. We know there is already a massive divide between who does and doesn’t have health care in this country, and these attacks are making it worse. We know that the District of Columbia is home to a decades-long maternal mortality crisis with a rate double that of the U.S. with the largest impact on Black women.

Join us for an interactive discussion on the current state of play of reproductive health, rights and justice by leaders on the front lines of these issues. Learn about how reproductive health care became so endangered and how progressive people across the country are rising up to seek new and innovative ways to protect their residents in the face of local attacks and a federal judiciary and ensure discriminatory barriers in health care are eliminated and health, rights, justice and wellness for all communities are achieved.
