Resist the Awful AHCA

Start: Tuesday, May 09, 201712:00 PM

How does the passage of the American Health Care Act (AHCA) in the House make you feel? Angry? Scared? Determined to resist?

C’mon down to Skyline Park, 17th and Arapahoe in downtown Denver on Tuesday, May 9 at noon. We’ve invited Sen Cory Gardner to attend, but you know how that goes. Will he show up? One way or the other, we’ll make our opposition to AHCA crystal clear to him. We’ll have a short rally focused solely on health care issues, following by a die-in!

Bring your signs and noisemakers and wear slings, back braces, and other visual reminders that Trumpcare will seriously injure our country’s health care system!

Brought to you by Protect Our Care Coalition, Denver OFA, and Front Range MoveOn.

•• Downtown Denver parking can be expensive. Allow time for parking and walking to the location. (It is not a sure thing that you'll find parking within a few steps of the meeting place.) Plan to car-pool or use RTD if you can. Event will be in Skyline Park, at the corner of 17th Street & Arapahoe, Next to the Chase Bank branch at 1125 17th St. (the building where Senator Gardner's office is located.) Note: The building has a Chase Bank logo on the top of its 17th Street (south) side. •• A small delegation from our group will actually go to his office and report back to our group. •• We have notified the press. We will try to contact as many of you as possible that have emailed with questions or volunteered for roles, but please note the event size is 1000. •• If you want to help out in any way, arrive no later than 11:40am and look for cohosts by the microphone.
