Join this "Constituent Town Hall" with Senator Grassley's local staff in Cedar Rapids while Senator Grassley himself is in his North Central Iowa district. A group of us as been rallying every Tuesday at noon, and then sending a small delegation in to meet with Sen. Grassley & Ernst's Staffers at 12:30 pm, to talk about the burning issues of the week. Last week, we asked that the Senators hold Town Hall Meetings in Linn County during this Congressional Recess, but there still aren't any scheduled here in Cedar Rapids / Linn County. Sen. Ernst is having a Town Hall in Maquoketa at 1:30 pm this day, and some of our normal group will be headed to that (as will her local staff, as that's in the same district we are). Sen. Grassley has Town Halls in Iowa Falls at 7:45 am and in Garner at 2:15 pm. Most of us can't take off enough time in the middle of a Tuesday to drive that far, so.... The rest of us have asked his local staff to meet with a larger-than-usual group of us at 12:30 pm to discuss issues that Grassley, as Chair of the Judiciary Committee, and in his other capacities, has particular involvement with. We'll let you know on Tuesday how big a group will be able to go in to meet this time (depending on the size of conference room Nathan may able to reserve, and/or whether Security would approve a meeting in the Lobby).
