Friends in the New York City Metropolitan Area are invited to join Beyond Plastics Local Groups & Affiliates for an inspiring talk with Reverend Mira Sawlani-Joyner of Riverside Church. This talk will be the keynote event for our Local Groups & Affiliates Conference, which will include a full day of workshops, panels, and intensives focused on local acitivism to end plastic pollution. The full conference is available to Local Groups & Affiliate members only, but we are pleased to welcome the general public for Reverend Joyner's keynote address at 1pm.

The theme of the event is "Think Globally, Act Locally." In a time of political turmoil, climate crises, and relentless news cycles, it’s easy to feel powerless. But history has shown us that real change begins at the grassroots level. Now, more than ever, we must build a resilient movement to end plastic pollution—one that thrives despite uncertainty and drives systemic change from the ground up.
