The event has MOVED and will now be at the intersection of College Ave and Appleton St (by Houdini Plaza) in downtown Appleton. This is an event for banners and signs and showing enthusiasm to passing motorists. Microphones and speakers cannot be used for speeches.

On September 8, thousands of rallies will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us.

Join us as we hold our local leaders to account and demand that they walk the talk on climate action.

The Fox Valley Group of Sierra Club is organizing this rally, and will be involving other individuals and groups.

We expect this event to run from 10:30am until 11:30am (maybe till  noon).

We had hoped for a better location that would permit audio amplification but were thwarted by costs.  Still, even a simple event allows Appleton to be on the event map. And we can still help demand that our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us.
