On September 8, thousands of rallies will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us.

Join us as we hold our local leaders to account and demand that they walk the talk on climate action.

Rise for Climate – inter-action Sat 8 Sept- Wachner place, Invercargill from 1 to 2 pm.

Join the international day with people around the world taking appropriate action to end fossil fuel use alongside being pro- active themselves at home, work and play. Invercargill and Southland communities will join others that day who are rising up everywhere to stop fossil fuels and demand true climate action in the lead up to the upcoming Global Climate Action Summit in California and beyond.

People are asked to bring symbols of what they are doing themselves to offset climate change. People can explain their symbol and so inspire others to ring in the changes. We will be taking photos for a record of people’s commitment and will display them at the Spring Eco Fest on Sat 22 Sept at Invercargill Working Mens’ Club. Inspiration for others! Our Climate Declaration workshops that day will continue the conversations.
