Roslindale & neighbors People's Address: A Cacerolazo!

Start: Tuesday, February 28, 2017 9:00 PM

Join us in Adams Park (Roslindale Village, at Washington Street & Cummins Hwy) to make some noise!

It's been over a month since Trump took office. We have seen blatant attacks on our communities, a new administration that has no respect or value for basic human dignities and a President who is so corrupt there have been multiple calls for investigation. From the Muslim ban to ICE Raids and this week with Trump telling schools to ignore the law that protects trans kids in school, we say enough is enough!

On Tuesday, Donald Trump will address a joint session of Congress for the first time. Instead of watching a speech that will undermine our communities, we will be convening the People's Address: A Cacerolazo!

The People’s Address (#peoplesaddress) is a gathering to share our stories and our hopes for our country and our communities. A Cacerolazo (casserole) is a form of protest that consists of a group of people making noise by banging pots, pans and utensils that is popular in Latin American countries. You can learn more about its origins here. We’ll tell Congress what we really think about the Trump administration and make some glorious noise!
