We'd love your help on

Bank Holiday Monday 8th May in Silvertown!

Newham Greens volunteers at a previous action day

We're hoping for lovely spring May weather on this special extra bank holiday - so we'd like to make the most of this extra free time to get out surveying more residents, and down near the river too!

Join us to help get the Green message out to residents across Newham.

We need to be active so that residents know that we are working to improve Newham all of the time. That's why your help is so important. We can't do this without our members and supporters.

We know it works - because that is how we won Stratford Olympic Park to get our two marvelous councillors Nate Higgins and Danny Keeling elected!

It's important that we are out throughout the year, every year, not just in election years like some other parties.

This month as part of our expansion plan, we are mostly in Royal Docks ward, Silvertown one of our top wards in terms of vote percentage in May 2022, after Stratford Olympic Park.

We will be carrying out our 60 Seconds Surveys in a part of Newham we need to speak to residents in, as we seek to grow our presence across Newham in the years leading up to the next local elections in 2026, as well as the London elections next year.

This ward is a key area where we need to get to know our residents and gather information about the issues that matter to them, to maintain the support we grew in the lead up to the last local elections.

Everybody is welcome, from experienced campaigners to complete newcomers. Nobody will be asked to campaign alone, and we will make sure to group newcomers with more experienced campaigners. As part of our plan to expand into more areas of Newham, we need to carry on reaching out to residents and showing that we are a party that gets things done to improve our borough.

We'll meet at 1pm at the Windjammer by the river at Royal Wharf (near Pontoon Dock DLR). We'll head out to do the surveys at homes in nearby streets, and then stop for a break at 3pm. We'll continue if people are up for it from 4pm until 5pm, so if you can't join us from the start you can always join us for the later session - or visa-versa. Then when we'll finish and have some food and a well deserved beverage, or two, at the cafe/pub, or move elsewhere, so it's a great opportunity to catch up or meet new people.

Nearest Station: Pontoon Dock DLR

Buses: 241, 330
