Across the country, colleges and universities are still failing to support survivors of sexual violence and take meaningful action against students who harm their classmates and communities.
But as schools are finally turning their attention to the issue, we recognize that we, as feminists and youth organizers, are collectively tasked with answering the hard questions about how disciplinary procedures should work, given the particular challenges and opportunities of the campus context. And, we know first hand, the success of these procedures will depend on their fairness to all parties involved.
Join us this Sexual Assault Awareness Month to learn how to create campus processes that are fair to victims and the accused:
